hello everyone So, I decided to log back into my Terabox account, which is linked to my Facebook account, after two or so months now, I find it completely empty—the recycle bin is empty, and the only thing left is an EXE file. Anyone have an idea What happened? I had about 3TB's of data on it. I applied to the customer service of TeraBox, but I haven't received a response yet. It's been three days. I have searched for this exact thing on other platforms, and it looks like my account got hacked, but I am not fully sure if that is the case. Any help would be appreciable.
I think it was hacked... If it was DMCA, i think your account was blocked... Do not execute this .exe file... Your computer can be infected with some malware, virus or similar...
You got hacked, that file in your drive most likely will act like a ransomware if you excute it you will also probably loss you computer files or (if lucky) you will just get get an advice that you will have to pay to get your files back. So... I think all of it is most probably lost, hopefully costumer service can help you soon, but I think it's a lost case :'( RIP your collection PS: If you have any Credit or debit card added as your payment you should probably check them and change them just in case
what if any cloud storage isn't effective by DMC strikes, I know there are some that claim they cant even see your files
