Let's take a look at the NTSC DVD of the Drowned World Tour 2001 and compare it with the European PAL version. The difference is really remarkable. First of all, the picture quality on the NTSC version is, once again, noticeably better and sharper than on the PAL version. Secondly, the NTSC version also has significantly more progressive frames, whereas the PAL version often shows those annoying interlaced frames. I have to say, though, that interlacing isn't really a problem in itself, since regular video players can usually deinterlace it. However, I still don't like it, because sometimes you can still see interlacing artifacts. And last but not least, the NTSC version has the correct frame rate, which you can also see when comparing the frames with the PAL version. With the PAL version, two frames are often blended together into a single frame, creating movement shadows.
