Do give it a listen. Personally, I thought the first half of the album was amazing - the second half consists of slower acoustic songs, but overall his vocals are on point and the production is stellar. I'm not necessarily a fan and certainly not his target audience, but I was pleasantly surprised. I actually ended up wishing some songs were longer - the longest song on the record barely exceeds 3 minutes.

The only bone to pick I have with the album is its lack of diverse themes. Almost all of the songs are pure love songs.... but hey, it's J.B. so that doesn't come as a surprise.

I have listened to a few songs so far. Not as bad as I was expecting to be honest. I am going to have to take the time to listen to the whole album before making any final judgements though. Thank you for sharing your assessment of the album.
