Hello, does anyone have a legitimate DVD-Audio rip of this album?

    https://www.discogs.com/release/4804052-3-Doors-Down-Away-From-The-Sun

I found a DualDisc ISO, however, it seems it wasn't properly done. The 24-bit/96 kHz tracks included there aren't even real Hi-Res Audio, unlike the DVD-Audio release. I also found an SACD version, but I prefer a PCM.

Does anyone have this? Even just the ISO would suffice. If you happen to have the WAV or FLAC files, that would be wonderful too.

    Thank you so much!!!!

Hi, in light of very bad news about "3 Doors Down" singer Brad Arnold I was checking on their albums and came across your message.
I have the DualDisc ISO – probably the one you also have, I don't know – it contains 2 folders: AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS.
In the VIDEO_TS folder the "Away From The Sun" album is presented in lossy stereo and multichannel Dolby Digital format, while the AUDIO_TS folder contains MLP 24-96 files, both stereo and multichannel ones.

Why do you think those 24-bit/96 kHz MLP files are not "properly done"? What's wrong with them?

Check an app called "Spek'. Put the files in there. It tops out at 22 kHz, similar to the CD. So I think, the DualDisc was just upsampled CD files. It's "fake". The format is technically 24-bit/96 kHz but it doesn't really have that resolution. It's like changing the size of a 600 x 600 image and "upscaling" it to 1920 x 1080 to make it HD. It's not HD. You know?

And yeah, about Brad, I'm sad about it... I hope he keeps the fight !!!

Hi, yes, I understand what you mean but that's all we have in the AUDIO_TS folder – the upconverted audio CD instead of the fully valid DVDA.
Anyway, I have very basic ears and even more basic audio setup at home, so I do not hear any difference between audio CD and DVDA.
I also have FLAC files from the SACD release of this album, they are 24-88.2, left untouched, just extracted from SACD and packed as FLACs. I am wondering if they are authentic Hi-Res files, and maybe their spectrogram is better – I did not check, to be honest with you but if you want, I can share these files with you.
