“Don’t Call Me Gaga,” Call Me Joanne” When I started this project, I had no idea about the unexpected joy it would bring me to explore an era that was not always praised by most Monsters, including myself. For a long time, I viewed this period through a narrow lens, never quite grasping the heart behind it. However, through the process of putting together this album and revisiting those moments, I learned that every iteration of an artist existed for a reason—necessary to show moments of growth, pain, and transformation. I may not have understood it then, but ten years later, I can confidently say I finally see the heart behind the art. This journey was about more than just layering musical tracks or selecting the best vocals; it was about reconciling with a version of Lady Gaga I did not want to get to know, only to discover layers I was previously unaware of or too hesitant to acknowledge. It served as a powerful reminder that music, much like us, matures with time. What felt foreign or different in 2016 felt more vital than ever by 2026. In a world often defined by violence, war, and the need for catharsis, this era felt like the missing puzzle piece so many of us are still yearning for. I walked away from this project with a renewed sense of gratitude for Joanne, the risks Gaga took, and the stories she told. It did not just change my perspective on the music; it helped me become a better human being. So, to commemorate this wonderful era with me once again and celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Lady Gaga’s fifth studio album, Joanne, I am proud to present: LADY GAGA: JOANNE WORLD TOUR — LIVE FROM THE FORUM [THE LIVE ALBUM] Available November 20, 2026.
