FLAC Hilary Duff - Hilary Duff (2004 / 2006 Repress) [FLAC 24bit / 44.1kHz]

Spoiler

I have absolutely no idea where this is sourced from really or if it's even real. I did find what I thought was 24bit of the original 2004 release, but it turned out to be fake. I believe these are from some Apple Music store, but I don't know which one. It's so hard to mark something as real 24-bit anyway if it's only 44.1kHz since it only reaches 22kHz in Spek and such, which is lossless regardless. If you want to, download this, if not, don't. I'm posting this for people who want it and don't want to pay it.

As for the 2006 date, I bought this on my 9th birthday as a kid (10/15/2006) and it was all the new versions (I found the 2004 version years later after I heard Jericho's original version) so it was repressed sometime in 2006 most likely. Possibly 2005 though? I am not sure. There was no announcement, it was just quietly changed. If anyone knows more information about why this was actually remixed/changed, that'd be helpful.

Now, also, Hilary does not own her old music (Hollywood Records albums and possibly her RCA album - Breathe In. Breathe Out.) so please stop supporting it via streaming/buying new copies from a retailer. She's releasing her new album "luck... or something" on Feburary 20th, 2026 and you should support her via streaming or physical purchases. Several vinyl variants include rerecords of her songs (mature edition, dirty martini & Wine O'Clock edition specifically). If you want a CD version with all the (mine) tracks plus the whole new album, you can buy it from Walmart (USA only).

The songs that have been changed are marked with an asterisk (*).
Some are subtle (#2, #3, #4, #12) and some are MAJOR changes (#13, #14 & #16).
Please note: There are no new lyrics on these versions, just production changes.
Also, Cry has been given a remix tag on streaming services, which is just the new version.
