Rip of the new NIN single from the “Tron: Ares” soundtrack, released yesterday. The b-side, “Empathetic Response,” is also from the soundtrack, but is not currently released elsewhere (This differs from the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive version, which featured “Building Better Worlds” as the b-side, also currently unavailable elsewhere). I marked this rip as “v1″ because I’m in-between upgrading my setup (new cart and pre-amp on this one) and the sleeve of the single is trashed. I intend to return the 7” and am waiting on a new interface, so I fully anticipate doing this again. I thought the rip was a little dark, so I’ve included EQ’ed versions of the tracks to brighten them up and match the digital release of the a side, but included the originals as well, for those (like myself) who prefer having the option of a more raw, unembellished option. Full details for both are outlined below and in the zip with the included text file. Still trying to pin down what's causing the HF loss; I think the "low cut" button doesn't do exactly what it should.
