Hi folks, I have a question: I got a Sony HT-A9 system and Zidoo Z20 Pro media server. Tech specs saying that the Sony HT-A9 emulates 12 phantom speakers. The Zidoo media player has audio passtrough enabeled and when I use the internal media browser or music player nothing happening, only a warning that the song is skipped due to missing codec. I use for example one of the 12 channel WAV files wich has 360RA audio: https://sharemania.us/threads/victo...eg-h-3d-audio-wav-decoded-12-channels.236159/ Now I have installed VLC media player and I am able to play those 12 channel files but did not really hear the atmospherics from the recording studio, it looks like the rear speakers are not in use. Any tech help would be appreciated.
Why do you bother with decoding it to wav when there's free player for 360 RA audio for android and pc /mac in Set with producing tools for content productions in all stages If you want to play for example on pc just get free subscription for https://store.lze-innovation.de/products/mpeg-h-authoring-suite-mas-5-3 And install MPEG-H VVPlayer (MHVP) it will play you this without problem And if you want to do it on android you can also grtbhttps://store.lze-innovation.de/products/mpeg-h-wl-app-2-4 Free experimental app for testing content produced in mpegh on unsupported devices that is basicly a bit shitty playback machine for 360RA And about playing back 12 wav files i would either play it with foobar with enabled this module https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_out_spatial And setting up spatial audio api you have either dolby atmos for headphones, Windows sonic for headphones or dts headphones x And other bet is using cavern tools, you can either give it a 12 ch file cavern siuite And for it you can use cavern player called Cavern Driver with Enabled headphone virtualization in speaker layout options (it can be bit sometimes buggy) And better approach i use is to use from cavern suite tool called cavernrize, it's used to decode eac3-joc to target speakers layout and can also handle transformation between other formats (True HD atmos support is coming soon) mostly object less ones, and can also be used when you set target speakers to headphone virtualization (you can apply your own hiris wavs for your taste but basic ones are good enough) it will transform any >3.0 channel format into stereo with virtualized everything even tops and objects are not lost like with other eac3 decoders that don't support joc. And can also be used to playback spatial audio predscoded files on non supporting hardware if you first choose your target decoding option. It's preety powerful and project is done by mostly one guy so shout out to him for his work. If you decode to headphone virtualized target you have stereo file that gives you same experience as if you were decoding at same time. It also have good options of target codecs to choose Here's site with cavern suite (it has also github page so if you have issues you can reach out to creator tru github) https://cavern.sbence.hu/cavern/downloads.php And strongly recommending reading documentation it's very fun to read and interesting seeing so much work done by one guy mostly and how perfect it works. https://github.com/VoidXH/Cavern I hope I was helpful
Thanks for helping and sorry for the late reply. Non of your suggestions worked for me, the only option I have is to stream 360RA files from my S24 Ultra to my Sony HT-A9 device wich has full support for 360RA. I have many disconnection errors whil streaming
360RA audio is only for headphones, not speakers. And you need special headphones from Sony with that technology included, it doesn't play on any simple headphones. DTS 7.1.4 is what you can play on your 12 speakers, here in ShareMania there's NO files to download but in SoulSeek you can find some songs and albums in 7.1.4 sound
