I see that StarlightAI upscales are slowly begin to appear and they look pretty good, how long does it take to generate one of those?
For a 480p ProRes in Starlight Mini it's usually between 24 to 48 hours on my RTX 3090 with an i9 13900K processor, for 576p/i MPGs it's a little longer, I would say between 36 to 72 hours. And it gets worse if the resolution is higher
By the way, yes, what Djodjara mentioned, it might be worth returning to 1080p generation. And also, perhaps, the generation time will be reduced by switching from the HEVC codec to the h.264 codec. Well, Starlight pulls out the quality of upscales as close as possible to real HD/4K. With such success, in a few years the upscale will not differ from the real filmed HD/4K video. But many thanks to the author for the excellent work.
