The Song of Names is the story of two boys brought together on the eve of World War II. Martin is the son of a successful music publisher. Dovidl is a nine-year-old violin prodigy from Warsaw who arrives in London to study, while living with Martin’s family. With Dovidl’s family trapped in Nazi-occupied Poland, the two boys form a symbiotic relationship, so close that they hardly know where one persona begins and the other ends. A decade later, Dovidl has become a member of the family. Hours before his debut concert performance at the age of 21, with the aspirations of the family on his shoulders, Dovidl vanishes without a trace. 35 years later, a young violinist shows Martin, now in his late 50s, a gesture he could only have picked up from Dovidl. The revelation sets him on the trail to an astounding act of self-discovery and renewal. Martin finally finds his lost ‘brother,’ changed in ways that he could never have imagined. The music plays a central role in the film, evoking the emotional journey of the young boys in a challenging period in history. ________________________________________________________________________________ Artist : Howard Shore Album : The Song of Names (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Year: 13.12.2019 Composer: Various Genre: Soundtrack Quality : Flac HRA 24bits/48.0kHz Label: Decca Source : highresaudio Size : 401mb Tracklist 01 The Song of Names for Violin and Cantor 02 London Debut 1951 03 They Have To Be Told 04 Play for the Ashes 05 For His Father 06 Bicycling 07 No. 9 in E Major "La Chasse" 08 Warsaw 1986 09 Family Portrait 10 The Asylum 11 Synagogue 1947 12 Treblinka Memorial 13 Farewell Anna 14 2.
