iTunes Plus Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Main Albums [2001-2025] *UPDATED

Happy new year lovely humans,

I have noticed that a lot of people are becoming interested in Sophie's music after her iconic song "Murder on the Dancefloor" being feature in the movie Saltburn. So happy that she is getting more recognition. So, I decided to share with you her discography:

Albums:

1- Read My Lips (UK reissue) - 2001 (A solid dance record, it has the song Murder on the Dancefloor).

2- Shoot from the Hip - 2003 (An okay album, not my favorite to be honest. I loved it when it came out but now it sounds a bit outdated).

3- Trip the Light Fantastic + Bonus Tracks - 2007 (Her best album, I believe she peaked with this one. So many great tracks and sounds timeless).

4- Make a Scene + Bonus Tracks - 2011 (Fun fact, this album was meant to be a Greatest Hits but then because the new material she recorded was great she decided to do a new album. It is a bit of time reflective of that era of music, with so many EDM infused tracks, but still a great throwback for that era).

5- Wanderlust - 2014 (This album was a departure from her disco/pop sound, and she went to more indie pop and folk, a great album I must say. Reminds me of Folklore by Nelly Furtado).

6- Familia - 2016 (This was a continuation of Wanderlust, again very indie pop and folk sounds. This is my least favorite album by her, it just felt so many tracks were fillers from Wanderlust).

7- Hana (Deluxe Version) - 2023 (Her latest entry, a great album going back to her disco/synth/pop roots, totally recommend this album to anyone).

Thank you so much!! Became a fan of her since so long ago, almost at the same time as Queen Kylie hehe. There's an expired post in here of Read My Lips with several remixes, wish I could find those... oh! And I have her Live album, if anyone's interested

Thanks

Love me some Kylie as well, Tension was really good. I didn't know that there was a version with remixes. This album was reissued so many times! I also believe that there is one bonus tracks that is not included in the version I posted above.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Never Let Me Down (youtube.com)

This was in the reissue she released in 2022.
