Just bumping this up. Apparently the files had been shared in a lossless format before, it would be great if someone still has them!
Update: So I contacted the guy who had the original CD(the one from the discogs link) who shared them years ago, and he kindly went through his CD library, fished the CD out and re-ripped it for me. Bad news: even the .wavs are in fact transcoded 128kbps files. I have them if anyone wants them (and he has agreed for me to share), but they're exactly the same quality as the lossy versions. Sorry guys, it's very possible that even the original sampler only had 128kbps files burned onto it. Our search continues.
Hey, I just wanted to know if you had time to send them to me by e-mail only if you want! There are files currently circulating claiming to be lossless. Honestly, the sampling is really amazing but they have a little bit of ringing and static sound when i listen to them with headphones. I plugged them on my speakers and most of the noise went away, but I still have a little bit of ringing sound in it but it might be my computer or my audio card buffer level. I'm kind of curious to hear how the cd rip sounds because the "lossless" version right now is the one that has the best sampling I heard but I don't know how it could be even better than the cd because we originally have them from the cd and there would be no other way that a high quality version comes from another source.
