well, not...but, blu-rays (both of movies/series, etc) is a masterrip video, that is, are ripped from a lossless master video. example: for the blu-ray of "Deadpool", companies rip the original master version for a version with a lower bitrate, around 20-30 Mb/s, depends of the company that will rip it ... i have already seen blu-rays in MPEG2 with only 15 Mb/s, after the rip they burn into BD discs. then all real blu-ray is ripped from some lossless master version, be it prores, raw, original tape, etc.
