A Windows 10 update just deleted my sound drivers and I can't reinstall them. In device manager Detection Verification and Intel High Definition Audio can't be updated and have error code 28. I also think my Realtek HD Audio driver was deleted too. Oddly it also deleted my codec pack for Media Player Classic. Does anyone know how to fix this as I can't record any tv shows now.
what motherboard model ? Try to download driver from motherboard manufacturer website. You can uninstall that automatically installed driver via control panel. I mean apps and features >> programs and features. Like this - Spoiler: Programs and features Which motherboard manufacturer. Tell me model number. I'll search latest realtek sound driver for it
Try this - Right click on C Drive >> Properties >> Disk Cleanup >> Clean up system files >> Check all >> OK Spoiler: Clean up Tell me whether you find difference in free space or not. btw I prefer Clean installation instead of upgrade.
